We met in Minorca, Spain in 1999. After traveling and working in different Spanish cities for several years, the time came that we wanted to have a family and Samuel our first child was born in Cordoba, Spain 11 years later.
Three years after his birth we decided to move to the United States, and found ourselves on the beautiful San Juan Islands, where we live today and have grown the family even larger.
Zoraima is the head Chef of this operation, she’s also the mom and wife of the rest of the team.
She is originally from Minorca, Spain.
At a very young she was introduced to the culinary arts by her parents and family, then as she grew in age and experience worked in numerous restaurants in Minorca, Barcelona and Canary Island. Also traveling to Morocco to gain knowledge of their amazing gastronomy.
Ray was born in Miami, he is first generation born in the United States. His parents are Cuban and grandparents from Spain.
He is a trained marine mechanic, his trade has given him the possibility to travel and live in different cities and countries.
He has been able to combine his work with his passion for gastronomy and has been able to work in numerous restaurants in Spain.
It is difficult to not fall in love in a place like this... Menorca. Declared biosphere reserve in 1993, it is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the world.
A talaiotic village that is 2800 years old. When Zoraima was a child they would play hide and seek there everyday.
One of many beautiful coves that is at the end of a fantastic hike, where you can swim in those transparent waters.
This is a venue where you can enjoy amazing sunsets, have some drinks and dance until late in the night.
We have had some great times in this place.
There is a legend that gives this cave its name, and it involves a beautiful and tragic love story. If you would like to know...
St. John´s day the festivities begin in Ciutadella a medieval town located on the most western part of the island. Throughout the summer the festivities work there way through all the towns until September 8th when they end in Mao´, the most eastern town of the island.
As our company grew we needed to expand in order to attend the growing demand of our services, so we needed our own kitchen.
Until that time we had been renting out the Brickworks kitchen, but it had become difficult to coordinate our schedules do to the increase of demand on both ends. So we decided we would build our own kitchen in our garage.
This gave us the opportunity of being able to expand and put more hours of work into our business. Also the possibility of adding new dishes and a wider range of services that we can offer our customers.
But most importantly it gives us the possibility to combine our work with our young Chefs.
